Set your goals for 2017

It’s a brand new year, make it a good one!

If you feel unsatisfied with your 2016 achievements then now is the time to make a change. Get the most of 2017 by writing down what you want to accomplish this year. You may not know it but if you take your time to write down your goals, you will be more likely to pursuit those goals rather then just thinking about them. Just thinking about stuff sometimes is not enough because our minds can be easily distracted, that’s why having a list to remind you of your priorities is so important. Successful people work with lists all the time, and you should to.
Creating a list of goals may sound easy. You have to be realistic and give it a good deep thought if your goals can be done under the circumstances you are in right now. Don’t set goals that you know for a fact they cannot be done. If your goal for 2017 is to go to Mars, unfortunately, Right now you cannot go to Mars for infinite money.
Making a list of goals is not enough. Someone’s got to work hard in order to get things done, and you sir/madame are the right man/women for that.
A good advice I can give you is to work smart not hard. It doesn’t matter if you have a minimum wage job and work 8 hours a day, it doesn’t even matter you are an entrepreneur and run a 1 million dollar company. If you lay back and do noting, wheels won’t move by themselves and you will either be stuck in the current state you’re in or drop below your current level if you don”t put in some effort.

Once you’re done making the list, mark the ones that are most important . What is the one thing that would have the greatest positive impact in your life and start working on that first.

Last but not least, don’t be to hard on yourself. A famous Bruce Lee quote says that “A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.”

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.

If you started 2016 with a list of goals and you didn’t check all the bullets, don’t worry about it. Challenge yourself to accomplish what you didn’t in 2016 but also set new goals for 2017.
