Policeman killed by helicopter during flight rehearsal in Uganda

Ugandan police officer died on Thursday. The officer was hit by a police helicopter during flight rehearsal at the Entebbe Airport.

Asan Kasingye confirmed to the local media Daily Monitor that officer Richard Kaweesa, fom the Counter-terrorism tactical unit, was hit by a helicopter during the landing procedure at the airport after jumping from another that was in the air during rehearsals.

The officer was rushed to a hospital in Kampala, but sadly he was pronounced dead.

Andrew Felix Kaweesi who was Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) was murdered two days before the police officer’s burial. The assassins still remain unknown.

Extra protection measures are required and the Uganda Police Force will do what is necessary and ensure that accidents like this will never happen again.
