Dragon Ball Legends Mobile Game

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. are launching a new Dragon Ball game for mobile devices later this year.

The company has announced that this is an online Player versus Player (PvP) mobile game different from the rest. Unlike other games such as Mortal Kombat X, Marvel Heroes etc. in which you are fighting other players characters stats. In Dragon Ball Legends you will be battling players from all around the globe, one on one in real time.

When will Dragon Ball Legends be released?

Dragon Ball Legends release date is 14th of June 2018 and the game will be free to install.  Pre-order / pre-register for App Store and Google Play is available here. @DB_Legends announced that players will receive in-game items based on how many people pre-register, so go ahead and register now!

The gameplay experience, graphics and effects look promising. Although I’m not a big fan of mobile games, I have to admit that this game caught my attention mainly because I’m a big fan of Dragon Ball.

Closed Beta Test? Count me in!

A Closed Beta Test (CBT) will be conducted so that adjustments can be made on the developers side based on testers feedback.

The CBT will be split in two tests and is only available for Android. No problem, that’s not going to stop me from applying.

First Test will take place between April 6th and April 9th 2018 where 10,000 participants will be testing the game for bugs, game load time, server response etc.

If you wish to participate you can apply for the first test until March 28th 2018 18:00 PM. Selection results will be available on March 29th at 20:00. I’m not exactly sure how I will find out if I’ve been selected to participate in the first test, because after I applied I haven’t yet received any confirmation e-mail from admin[@]dble.bn-ent.net.

Second Test will take place between April 6th and April 9th 2018 and this time the number of participants is increased to 30,000.

My guess is that the first test is done with 10,000 participants to make sure the servers can handle all the data and avoid any technical failures which may compromise the CBT. Application period: 19:30 April 1st, 2018 – 18:00 April 8th, 2018 (PDT) ; Testing period: April 13th – April 16th, 2018 ; Selection Results: 20:00 April 9th, 2018 (PDT).
